The North East Mini Stock Tour is preparing to start their fourth season touring New England and promise to make it the most memorable yet. For the first time in NEMST history the best mini stocks in the northeast will make their way to the NHMS facility in Loudon, NH.
On May 12th the NEMST will make a revolutionary change and visit the twisty turns of the NHMS Road Course. Staged at 1.6 miles long this will be a 15 lap event for the outlaw style NEMST cars. “The road course event is bound to showcase the best driving and team efforts of all of the competitors” NEMST promoter Bob Guptill said. With the thunderous long straightaways and the combination of right and left hand turns, team preparation will be key in winning this event. The NEMST will start 43 cars for the road course event.
Mid season on July 7th look for the NEMST to make the drive back up I-93 to the Loudon, NH super-speedway once again for a 50 lap feature on the turns 1&2 mini oval at the NASCAR facility. The car setup for this event will be key once again as the track is raced half on a banked surface and half on the infield/apron surface. The NEMST will be forced to start a maximum of 30 cars for the mini-oval event due to space restrictions on the track.
The NEMST is sure to draw cars from all over the region to the NHMS events. Series promoter Bob Guptill mentioned “With the addition of these 2 dates at New England’s most famous oval it will definitely prove that the NEMST is here to stay”. Qualifying will be key in these events as the car counts will overcome the limits that our field will hold.
We are very proud to announce these dates that will move the minds of mini stock competitors region wide, and finally give them their chance to race on a NASCAR oval. Be sure to get pre race season entries in before March 1st for the price break to be effective. The NEMST will be at this weekends The Racers Expo in Marlboro, MA to answer any questions and get a hands on feel for the operation of the NEMST. We look forward to seeing all of our fans, drivers, and crews in Marlboro!
