A brand new Triple Crown series has been released to enhance the mid-summer section of the NEMST schedule highlighting some of our Northern New England premier events. Temp Setters Mechanical Contractors ; http://www.tempsetters.com ; Is central Maine’s premier heating, cooling, and ventilation contractor and has come on board to help the North East Mini Stock Tour once again in 2016.
In 2015 Temp Setters Owner Bruce Helmuth gave bonus money to the winner and lap leaders at our second annual New Hampshire Motor Speedway event. This season they are ramping up their involvement by sponsoring a Northern Triple Crown comprised of the June 18 Oxford Homecoming event, the August 6 Speedway 51 event, and crowning a champion at the grand daddy of New England short track races the HP Hood Oxford 250 with the NEMST AJ Roberti Memorial Race.
The Triple Crown will feature a payout of $350, $250, $150, $100, $50 for the top 5 performers in the 3 selected events along with trophies awarded at the year end banquet. NEMST Promoter Bob Guptill said “We are excited to help Bruce expand his business while offering our drivers extra incentive for their support in our northernmost events. These 3 events will highlight the NEMST schedule and give those drivers that may have had some rough spots to start the season a chance to bounce back and run for a championship in a smaller part of the season”
The Temp Setters Triple Crown kicks off this weekend with the 50 lap NEMST feature alongside PASS and Valenti Modifieds as well as weekly racing at Oxford Plains Speedway. This weekend’s homecoming race has an enhanced payout of $750, $500, $400, $300, $200 with positions 6-30 offering standard NEMST payout.
