High Profile Events Highlight 2014 NEMST Schedule

Although it has taken longer than in previous years the 2014 NEMST schedule has been released. News for the 2014 season began to surface in December with announcements of a new national sponsor in the name of Twisted Tea Hard Iced Tea. “Twisted Tea will join alongside Texas Roadhouse in helping us market our series to tons of new prospective fans while in return we will drive new customers to their great products” said NEMST founder Bob Guptill.

Other news that has been previously released includes the NEMST’s first foray onto an alternate racing surface with Legion Speedway hosting the first annual NEMST Invade the Clay on June 22. As the buzz was winding down from the dirt event the NEMST made another large announcement, the Connecticut Triple Crown will give competitors the chance to run at 3 very diverse tracks in a close proximity of each other for a separate championship. The April 26, May 31, and October 18 events at all three Connecticut ovals will introduce many new teams that have previously been unable to contend for an NEMST Championship due to other commitments

Alongside announcing the Triple Crown events on Overdrive Radio the NEMST also announced its largest event to date, a 25 lap main event on The Magic Mile, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, in Loudon, NH. “Response was huge following the announcement for NHMS. We have had drivers interested from 8 states and numerous divisions inquire about rides available for event. None of this would be possible without the strong support from our sponsors, teams, and fans at NHMS over the past two seasons.” said Bob Guptill.

To cap off 2014 schedule news the NEMST will make its first visit to the fast ½ mile Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Vermont. The Devil’s Bowl event will also cap off the Northern Triple Crown that is made up along with Star Speedway and the NHMS Road Course event. The $750 to win event at Wiscasset will also return on August 23 with Tire King from Skowhegan, ME being a presenting sponsor for the second season in a row. After a successful event last fall at Riverside Speedway, Swallow & Sons concrete has also stepped on board to produce a $1000 to win event for the 2014 season held on June 14.
